A&K m249 upgrading
22 December, 2010, 20:07
I am thinking of upgrading my A&K M249 to get a higher rate of power. I was wondering if these parts will fit.
Systema Full Tune Up Kit for M4
Systema Turbo Motor High speed short shaft version
Any advice would be appreciated
cheers

Sounds quite complicated, I only have a basic knowledge of gearbox's. Refurbished a MP5gearbox the other day but did not find it easy at all.

Can you buy complete m249 gearboxs? I see Evik* used to sell them but have sold out.

Re: A&K m249 upgrading
Looking to get better fps, as currently running 290ish, maybe even increase the rate of fire also.
But a bit green to taking gearboxs apart so unsure which replacment parts to use

Re: A&K m249 upgrading
Many people have the A&K gearboxes running around 350fps, all it needs is a spring, presuming there's not an air leak somewhere
