  • G&P M4 Dissassembly issues

    Ok, I've got a few problems here. The first is this;

When I was sliding the upper receiver off for the first time, it was stopped by a wire. Now, to get it off, I need to feed the wire through the delta ring. However, theres a black box which I think has the fuse. Will I have to get out the soldering iron?

secondly, how do I get upper receiver off the delta ring?

    Cheers.

Right push the top reciever pack in the gun

beforethe fuse box on the wires there will be connections

Pull these apart and the wires will then easily pull through the delta ring
be carefull not tk shred the wires

Not certain but can the fuse box be opened up? and the delta ring normally screws off I think, though the wires have to be in place to prevent stripping them... Thats how it is with JG and other guns I've done.

        Cheers!

Edit: Where are these connectors? Theres a rubber cover on the red wire, but nothing on the black.

There should be one on each mate

Check on the whole length of wire

Once youve done that mate, to get the D ring off the body you will first need to remove the gas tube, as it'll stop the d ring from un-screwing. I found the best way was to take the front sight off (by un doing the small allen key and popping out the pins and pulling the sight off the barrel), and the gas tube should come out with it.

Excellent. Could you give me a step by step guide on how to remove it? At the moment it has a thin silver rod running through as well.

Do you mean the gas tube mate? Its about 5-7 mm diamiter, runs along the lenght of the barrel connecting the front sight to the upper receiver

*EDIT* Or do you mean the tiny pin in the front sight?

Ok, how do I get the sling mount iff the front sight, and how do I remove the delta ring, it won't twist off.

What kind of sling mount is it? If its attached to the barrel itself (two peice type) then it has two pins that are on the right hand side which you need to pop out, then it should come off. The delta rings are always screwd on really tight on the production line, keep trying(aslong as the gas tubes out of the way and thers nothing else stopping it from turning). If no luck then you'll need a G&P barrel lock key.

Ok, held back the slidy thing on the delta ring, and then twisted it with some pliers, so we're all good on that front.. How do I get the charging handle out?

To take the charging handle out, you need to remove the upper receiver and look in the top
