Just a quick one boys !
but when you fit / strip/ or disturb a piston and barrel what do you use to help get a good airseal ie .... what grease / lube ?

A light White lithium grease for the o ring. Lots of Airsoft shops do grease.

Yup not to much, the grease is just to reduce friction the o ring it's self expands and forms a seal against the cylinder wall.

ok im with you so if the piston o ring is worn it will not expand as good as it used to so will need replacing !

They wear less than they shrink. And they also harden. The easiest way is to buy a vented piston head. The vents increase the o rings ability to expand. Plus.you get a new o ring and a pretty colour in some cases that no one will see... But deep down you know it's there and your guns better for it !
The o ring trick, put the o ring around the cylinder ( the brass coloured tube) then apply gentle heat from a flame all around it, leave it a while. Now re fit and if it had shrunk that's now gone, you'll be able to feel I'f it's physically perished like a mums old washing machine.
