G&P 7mm Gearbox

Would this stock gearbox(including internals) be able to handle 13:1 ratio gears reliably? i bought a set for my MP5 which is now dead, and i was wondering if i could put them to some use

I would do the piston mods to be on the safe side.

Yes, should be fine.
How old is the GB? (mainly the age of the piston) and what spring will you be running?

almost new, 1 full day skirmishing (3000rounds roughly) and its running an M100

not gonna lie, i dont have a clue about piston mods, do they matter and/or what are they?
