Tamiya plugs

Whats the easiest way to strip a tamiya plug witout losing the wire inside?
Obviously I could just cut it, but there isnt much to play with and don't want to waste it?
Don't want to just pull it out until someone has sait it's ok!

Yep just yank it out.
Make sure you dont rip it out of the other end though.

Re: Tamiya plugs
Use a tiny flat head screw driver to flatten the lugs that hold them in place takes 2 mins

This - although I call them wings, lol.
Then pull them back at again when you rebuild to ensure they stay in place!

Re: Tamiya plugs
If you're changing the connector on a battery, only change 1 contact at a time!
Don't pull both out, then fit them in a different shell or connector.
