ICS M4 Outer Barrel Compatibility?

I probably already know the answer to this, but can you replace an ICS M4 barrel with a TM compatible one? If so, is it a straight swap, or is modding required?

No and yes at the same time.

Yes, because it has standard fittings.

No! and its a big no, because the distance from the delta ring to the front sight is different on other barrels. Therefore attaching the RIS won't work unless you have the delta ring sprung out to push the RIS into the front post.

Not ideal tbh.

That's partially good news in that case.

Just to clarify, there should be no problems with the hop unit fitting and the barrel sitting correctly in the upper receiver? It's the external/handguard bit that may be an issue?

You cant put a TM M4 hop in an ICS M4 they are completley different.
You may be able to mod it but it wont fit out of the box.

Sorry - I meant will the ICS hop fit the TM barrel? But I guess not if it doesn't work the other way around!
