Re: Not feeding at high speed
sometimes the mag feed catches differ in length ,and the deapth themag sits in the gun moves the catch back different ammounts so you might get a small ammout of friction causing a slower flow of ammo .You can shave them but be carefull not to take too much off

Re: Not feeding at high speed
I had endless hours of 'fun' with mine too befor getting it right...lol.
I think Joe has an Aly hop and with those while they are brilliant, if they are even the tiniest bit out of place there is no play what so ever in the feed tube.

Re: Not feeding at high speed
Would this be an application for a sector gear clip?

Re: Not feeding at high speed
Have you lubed/greased the tappet plate runner enough?(I had the same problem, polished the runner and bam, perfect feeding)

Re: Not feeding at high speed
A few other questions;
* What weight and brand of BBs are you using?
* With the tappet at rest, when you push down on the airseal nozzle is it smooth?
* Did you shim your Sector gear too high?
* Have you tried spacing the spring guide in the mid/low cap mags to increase the tension?
*When you say misfeed? do you get the odd bb drop out of the barrel? or just something and nothing?

Weird...
I did here somewhere that with higher RPM guns its best to avoid hi caps, but the advice didnt come from anywhere professional to cant vouch for it.
You can only effectively use low/mid caps to a certain point, beyond that the nature of the high cap becomes an advantage as you can have it motor wound and in sync with the rest of the system, it is the only way you will be able to maintain consistency with the feeding rate.
But unlikely necessary with rates we are discussing here, and with that said there is nothing wrong with spring mags for high speed, if anything they are better where practical if that makes sense.
