Re: 12v in acr?
The question is - why would you want to?
Is this the ACR from Ares/ Star/ Magpul or an A&K model? Reason I ask is the first will be able to handle it more-so than the latter.
Any gun can "take it" - but as before why would you want to chance the risk? If the internals are perfect, ie AOE, shimming etc - then the only thing that a 12V will do is strip the piston quicker due to the higher ROF. There's only a small chance it will blow the fuse, if there is a short in the wiring.
Please get in touch if you want general help. Please report problematic posts.

Re: 12v in acr?
Probably wont fit but you may or may not blow the fuse, but then again it'll wreak havoc on the internals.
Oh and Tyler, stop trying to blow yourself up.

and i want to for a fast semi-auto responce :D
oh it will fit.
and it's
MAGPUL.
i just tryed it with the 9.6 i bought.
the rate of fire was...
well the hi cap could'nt keep up.
and it's a match for rampages mini gun.
well i orderd one any way. do'nt matter to much i can all ways use it in other things

I thought the Magpul ACR had an electric switch to provide such good trigger response!
Better route to go down is a lipo, or even just change the connectors to deans. Way safer than whacking a mega battery in there!

Re: 12v in acr?
:S this seems like a bit of a nonstarter...
So you want the trigger to set the gun off if you so much as move it 1mm?
better way to do that would be to fiddle with the trigger itself and make the contacts longer so they reach the contacts in the gun faster. But then its a different switch so I have no idea how that would work on an electric switch.
Lipo or deans would work best

Re: 12v in acr?
hummm.
well we'll see what this 12v when it gets here.
i know it won't take 3 mins to shred the gun at those speeds.
but it'll be all right for semi wont it?

Re: 12v in acr?
To be honest the 12v ni-mh is safer than any li-po.
A) You wont kill the battery if it runs flat and B) A lot less likely to become damaged with charging.
But if its trigger response, consider going MOSFET on its magpul'd behind!

Re: 12v in acr?
Basically an mosfet (Aside from all the active breaking and programmable ones) takes the charge from your battery and stores it, when you pull the trigger the charge is already next to the trigger to complete the circuit rather than having (all be it a few milliseconds) lag where you pull the trigger the motor whirrs and turns the GB over.
The basic ones generally take the strain from your trigger contacts, improve trigger response by the charge already being there and pretty much prolong your guns life. They also can up ROF a bit

Re: 12v in acr?
huummmm.
well i was gona crono this if its under 350 i want it brough up to 350.
and i'll ask them have a mosfet put in as well then
mind you.
the gun is very very quiet.
more quite than the g3 and i'd like it to stay like that.
will that change that at all?

Re: 12v in acr?
Nope the sound wont change at all (Pitch will do maybe with the upped ROF and voltage battery but not volume wise)
Whoever fits your stuff will advise you on MOSFET's you'd be better off with an active braking or programmable (they come with active as standard)
