Re: whats needed for lipo`s???
Go for a 7.4v.
If that is the case, nothing. If you've been using 8.4 mini's, with a 7.4v you'll need.. nothing. You'll notice the increase in life and ROF though.

This
But depends on what C rating you choose (Discharge rate) I have a 7.4 1200MAH 15C and a 7.4 1900MAH 25C , The second one gives a higher rate of fire but cant use it as im rear wired into a crane stock
If you have moderate space go for a 7.4 25C+ lipo

Just dean's the new beast. My soldering wasn't too bad. I think there has been a slight increase in power transference ( for want of a better word) but not a huge amount

go for deans or XT60's
fuse is recommended as the higher risk of battery going POP!!!!

Re: whats needed for lipo's?
Well, not so much the battery, but the motor. If the motor doesn't go pop, then yes a short could get at the battery.
Deans should be able to give you a 1 or 2 RPS increase.
