30 January, 2011, 16:07
Ive just bought an M100 spring and it seems to feel weaker than my stock 250 fps spring??
I havn't put it in the gun yet, buy it looks slightly longer but weaker than the stock?
Anyone else noticed this??

If it is longer, it will feel softer for the same power. The spring is compressed into the same size hole regardless of initial length.

Re: M100 weaker than stock spring??
Well my stock spring was firing arounf 250 fps... so i bought a Dream Army M100
The Spring has an inconsistant coil length and seems to be quite week, but i suppose if its stated to be 330 fps, surely they can't false advertise??

most are inconsistent coils, normally close/wide/close/wide and a longer spring will come under more compression

Re: M100 weaker than stock spring??
You got an irregular pitch spring :D)
Pop the tighter end coils on the spring guide.
The actual FPS it will give depends a lot on the rest of your set up. If it's full of airleaks, then you'll see less fps.
