9.6v safe for stock ICS L85?
31 January, 2011, 17:58
Gun is stock except for the motor which was replaced as the original one was DOA (not totally sure of the replacement make, but it runs just fine).
One shop advised me that a 9.6v battery would be a better choice for my weapon than the current 8.4v, but I'm not totally sure.
Will the stock internals handle it OK?

Yeah, fine. Would last longer with a good shim and AoE mods though.

Re: 9.6v safe for stock ICS L85?
my ics m4 can handle 9.6v out of the box i would assume the l85 can to its a different version gb but the parts are the same.
maybe double check the motor if its a cheap one it might burn out faster
