M4 Range Issues....
2 February, 2011, 17:21
Last Sunday, I took my TM M4 to a game. When I went to chrono it, the gearbox would cycle, but no BBs would be fired. When I tried to fire it, it would make a muffled sound, almost half way between the sound it makes when dry firing and the sound it makes when properly firing BBs. I tried ICS 0.2g BBs and Excel 0.25g BBs with a variety of mags, but none would work.
Yesterday, I applied some silicone oil to the hop rubber. It now either fires one BB about 2 metres, fires 2 BBs about 2 metres, or does exactly what it did on Sunday.
Any help regarding a fix would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Will

I did, and I'm very sure that it's all put together correctly. The little groove on the rubber is lined up with the groove in the barrel, and when I look down the barrel, I can see the hop at the top.

You got oil on your hop right? Well the BB's are just sliding through, dry/clean it off.
