Battery voltage question

I was just sticking my vaoltage meter on my batteries and noticed my 9.6 Ni-Mh is showing near 20v. is this a normal thing and it drops when under load ?

It is normally higher, but I don't think it should be THAT high.

Its strange . just checked another 2 packs and its the same all reading double what they should be . so must be normal ill check them under load. and then check my volt meter :P

hmm ive only ever had a voltage reading that high when i had a cell which was the wrong direction on apack, if its all the packs, maybe your tool is readin it wrong..

Try the batteries in a different gun, do you get the same results?

Ive tried the batteries from m4 mp5 and ak74 all the same about 18v But lipo reads about 7-8 v
