I was wondering can this be done whilst still having room for a battery.

You can indeed fit mosfets into the stock tube with a lipo.

It can be a bit of a squeeze, dependant on what mosfet and which battery are installed - but definately possible.

Possible yes, but the likelyhood will be that you can't have the stock all the way in.
