TM upgrades

Now i have never even taken apart an AEG before just the odd springer or a gas pistol and soon I will be getting a TM G3 SG1 off this forum soon and i know that TM are meant to have some of the best internals but i was wondering what upgrades i could make to make the gun perform better (particuarly range). As far as i know it is all standared TM stuff with about 274 FPS so not dropped too much. Also am i fine to put a 9.6v into the gun or would this break it?
