Upgrading G&G M16 EBB
14 February, 2011, 18:01
Im looking to upgrade my gun and i want to make it more accurate and increase the range if possible without pushing up the FPS to much as im close to my normal sites limit. (Urban assault = 345 fps on AEGS with a 0.2 absoloute tops) and its running about 328.
First of all im looking to add rails top and bottom on the front so i can mount a M203 and my torch/laser as thats currently cable tied to the barrel. Id then like to put the carry handle back on and mount my red dot on there (ive seen mounts for this but i cant find them again) to keep it above my light.
So after that what would people reccomend? I was looking at a tight bore barrel but what are good makes and what length do i need? How about a new motor or any gearbox parts? Or a piston? Any other suggestions would be welcome.
Would this barrel fit?

I did also look at this unit, id like to play more night games so tracer units would behandy:

What are the most comman problems with this gun? If i can improve reliability id like it. Ive not had any issues so far but id prefer to prevent them happening.
Im happy to do the work myself, ive always been a bit of a tinkerer and enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together.
If im honest id aim to buy all the parts in one go and upgrade it in one fell swoop.
Any advice or tips are welcome. Thank you in advance.
