Re: The Need for Speed
You going to need an idea of budget and speed.
There is a lot of difference in price and maintenance between the high teens....and 30, 40, 50 a second...

Re: The Need for Speed
What's the base weapon, how confident are you with maintenance and what mags you got? You really need an idea of speed too. roughly?

Re: The Need for Speed
Element 9mm GB
SHS 7 steel teeth piston
Element 13:1 gears
SHS motor
Then SS and SC to your hearts content, its really finding the ballence between FPS and ROF.

Re: The Need for Speed
Element 13.1 gearset. Element Duracon Piston or TM (swiss cheesed and wisdom teeth shaved down). Element/SHS/5KU motor (Torque). M120 spring, 4-5 teeth short stroked on piston and sector gear. AOE corrected. Sector gear chip, new tappet plate. AB Mosfet. Will come under £100. You'll want solid bushings ideally for that setup. Doesn't matter what MM.
Do remember though that this will likely break your GB casing. So i'd save a little extra and get a good reinforced one

Re: The Need for Speed
I found 35 was easy with a 9.6v and HT motor with 13:1 gears, mind you I did only get 30 just but swap the HT out for a HS and your wining!

Re: The Need for Speed
i'd just do with what guardsniper said, makes it alot more reliable, and thats what im running on at the moment, I would say it's quite 35 rps. but I can empty a full midcap in under 6 seconds.

Re: The Need for Speed
The M120 will get nowhere near 35 Guard. On a Large 7.4 your looking at sort of 23-28 region. Even on an 11.1 it'll still struggle to 35 on a normal gearset

Re: The Need for Speed
35, that's a machine!
One thing often overlooked is mags. Your current mags going to feed that fast?

Re: The Need for Speed
I got 4 star 30 Rd MP5 mags for £10, they fed better than ICS stock mags. Most well maintained mags will feed at 30rps.
