Star M249
18 February, 2011, 08:55
Hey Guys
Ive been offered a Star M249 by an old guy I know for £120 which i think is a bargain. Comes with the box mag and 2 batts.
He has never skirmished with it only plinked. Used it as a display and instructional tool for the Army Cadet Force.
He says it isnt feeding right and that you have to pretty much turn the gun upside down then back again for it to feed, it will fire a good burst then start to miss feed again.
I know from looking about on the forums there are alot of issues with 249's.
How easy is it to sort the feeding issue? does anyone know how to sort the issues that cud help ? and are they worth it?
USMC are that awesome even Katy Perry wears MARPAT!!

Re: Star M249
Id try it with a normal m4 mag, this would eliminate the box mag.
im trying to get to the bottom of my mis-feed problems but i have done alot of fiddling so im prob to blame

Re: Star M249
The star m249 does not take m4 mags , If you have the gun to hand look at the box mag first as it sounds as if the motor is not feeding ( new batterys ? AA last 1 i looked at )

I don't believe that's a feature of the Star either...
It could be a number of things, but hop and feed tube would be my starting point
