TM AK47 upgrades
18 February, 2011, 21:41
I am running an, internally, stock TM AK47 using 0.25's. I am looking to improve the range. Which upgrade would improve range the most?
.upgrading spring (and bushings) to 330fps
.putting in a tightbore barrel (if so, which make)
.putting in a TK twist barrel
Can only afford one upgrade, any help appreciated.

Re: TM AK47 upgrades
No point, honestly.
The TM AK47 is by far the best "out the box" weapon I've had. Was equally the range on my upgraded to the top P90!!

Yes it is quite good how it is but I still find myself getting out ranged, maybe because it is second hand? Anyhow, say I do one which would be best?

Re: TM AK47 upgrades
If you must, them a tightbore and an M100 spring.
Should see good results with the .25's - remember range is almost all in the hop. Spend some time next skirmish taking the time to set the hop just right.

Re: TM AK47 upgrades
I had one, can't say I saw a massive difference.
What I did find with the TK is that between .20 and .25 made no different at all to groupings. Whereas .20's vs .25's in a tightbore was a very big difference.

Re: TM AK47 upgrades
People tend to either go for Madbull or Prometheus. As to which is best, depends to who you listen to!
I believe you need a 455mm one.
Madbull: £36
Systema: £36
Prommy: £54
I'm using a Prommy as I was feeling a bit loaded at the time, but £55 is a lot for what you get, lol. Prommy barrel, Systema M100 spring, H nub and Madbull blue bucking - combined with blaster .25's. Last skirmish atleast 2 people came up to me to ask how I was getting so much range - which is pretty nice :D As with everything, a "combination" can yield great results, pinning it on one part is pretty hard.

Re: TM AK47 upgrades
Anyone had good experiences with the twist because many websites state they are better than tightbores at under 330fps
