Removing A&K sr25 RIS how?

as above really folks, i'm looking to remove my A&K sr25 RIS, i've managed to remove the gastube and gasblock however the rail itself wont budge a milimeter.

as far as i'm aware i need to unscrew the knut at the end of the RIS (the one that is attached to the receiver) however no matter how hard i try it just will not move

does anyone know any tips or tricks to this, i've put some major force into this and still nothing, i'm afraid i'm going to break the reciever :S

any help anyone has would be greatly apricciated.

Rap some rubebr gloves or a towel around the 'Nut' and take a pair of adjustable pliers or vice grips to it.

also used a desk-clamp and elastic bands wrapped around the knut for traction, not a single ounce of budge

with the barrel pointing at my chest i'm turning it anti-clockwise if that makes sense.

Yep that's the correct way..
The only thing i can think that's happened here is Whats called cold forging being an old bike mechanic i seen it a lot .When to metals the same ie: alloy have welded them self's together.. Or the previous owner used super glue are locktite ..Have you tried a bit of wd40 and left it to penetrate..
But heat would work well but it could weaken the metal if done to much..

got it soaking in some WD40 now. :D

i would be tempted to use heat but i dont have any experiance apply such a thing to airsoft... or anything really.

get a rubber hammer and give it a few gentle taps

this is the free float ras correct ? have you removed the fake gas tube if it has 1 ? if not you will rip the top off the body

or is it the URX type ?

edit i should read all of your post :P

you will find that large nut screws on to the ras not the body , can you turn the full ras now the gas tube is off ccw ?

from what i remember the large nut is CW thread

its the full SR25, i.e the free float RIS version, as in the first post, the gastube and gasblock have been removed
