M14 bbs falling short ever so often
12 March, 2011, 13:29
Hey peeps i am running a
TM M14 at 350 fps on a 8.4v3300 milamp large type bat using .2g BB
i havnt used the gun till today as i havnt been skirmishing since last year.
The first time i fired it the Gun fires just fine however every three to four shots on semi/Auto just seen to fall way too short of its average range and make a distinct clicking noise when leave the barrel.
can any one help as i want it back to normal /
cheers to all who help

If you have a silencer it might be hiting it.

load less bb's in the mag and see if this helps , i read that spring pressure can cause this to happen

Which BBs are you using as it could be the difference in their diameter.

Re: M14 bbs falling short ever so often
when was the barrel last cleaned, as it sounds like the odd bb clipping the m14,s long flash hider, or through lack of use the grease on the piston head has hardened and is not allowing the oring to seal correctly every time you fire ,causing increased piston noise

Re: M14 bbs falling short ever so often
all that will do is make the hop useless till the silicone is cleared.
barrels really need to be cleaned regularly as the waxy coating of the bb,s gets deposited in the barrel ,the tighter the barrel the more regular the cleaning.
the only silicone that goes close to my guns is on the end of a barrel mop
