Have you tried placing them in the gear box to see if they fit?

        Is it a reinforced gearbox?

Compare the old gears to the torque gears

Also check the shimming as they need les shimms then standard

Sand down a rail under the cylinder.

Don't sand anything untill you find out whats binding.

Take every thing out just put the gears in and then you will see where any thing is rubbing on the casing.

Re: Help with Max Torque Gears..

Well as you know you have a problem..STOP PULLING THE TRIGGER

Take the gear box out, take all moving parts out except the gears and make sure they fit properly and are shimmed correctly.

I take it you have the half tooth piston to go with the gear set?

Re: Help with Max Torque Gears..

Yes thats why i stopped. Yes it all came as a kit gears, shims, piston and piston head. I took it apart and put it together a few times but cant seem to see what is wrong. I have noticed a little scratch on the rail of the piston this time i took it apart?

Re: Help with Max Torque Gears..

Normally the one that binds are the trigger post and the reinforced GB bevel gear mount, near side when you're opening the GB.

Are you building a super FPS semi lock DMR................Max torque gears are made to pull stiffer springs........SP130 and beyond.

Would the trigger post or gears themselves cause this?
I cant understand why it locked after 3 shots until it was set to safe then it would fire again?

Re: Help with Max Torque Gears..

Yep, been dremmeling a reinforced box today as it happens. Again.

When you get three shots off do they seem fine or laboured? As in do you get three sort of zip zip zip..or more of a slow start winding up then pop?

Re: Help with Max Torque Gears..

So something is binding then and stopping movement.

How confident are you that your shimming is good? Over shimmed, maybe.

                              Gears clashing on the casing.

Did you check that the piston is in the guides correctly? Sorry but have to ask that.

If the piston is in the guides correctly, does it move freely. I have had to modify pistons by dremmeling out the channel so they run on the runners freely befor.

Does the piston head move freely inside the cylinder.

Even more simple...motor height, if the motor is too high it will cause this to happen too, well slow cycling anyway.

If everything runs freely, you need to check your battery, if it has little charge this same thing could happen...lol...how daft would you feel then?

                              Loose connection?

                              Motor, is it ok?

Is the motor capable of turning the upgraded set up?

Is your battery powerfull enough to power the upgraded set up?
