Im buying an SR25 and basically i want to upgrade it to fire at 500-550 fps, am i right by saying all i will need to buy is a different spring? or is there more i will need?

why? back garden plinking or skirmishing? as most places wont let you use it at that high FPS. i think around 400 is the max for semi auto only rifles

Sorry to be a buzzkill, but anything above 381 (1.35J) is illegal, even on semi.
