Help! Mp5 sliding stock problem!
22 January, 2009, 18:24
Got my new mp5 and well the sliding stock has jammed.
When i got the gun, i pushed the stock back into the gun, then tried to pull it back out.
The stock moves a few centimeters and then locks. Ive dismantled the stock but with no luck.
Any ideas?

When you pull it out there is a level to be pushed in

Push that in, like if you holding the gun, it would be across rather than in. Give it a good tug too. Might just be tight.

Re: Help! Mp5 sliding stock problem!
I bought a JG MP5 pile of rubbish which never fired a single shot. This had the opposite problem that it wouldn't lock at all. A piece of moulded retaining plastic had sheared off inside the housing. Could be something similar?

Re: Help! Mp5 sliding stock problem!
Seems I now have the very same problem using an ICS locking pin also an ICS sliding stock. The stock locks up on the first rung and will not retract out. As far as I know it is in correctly in from checking dismantle vids.

What can I say I searched and cannot find an answer.
It is a valid issue I am having also and seems to not have a result yet.

Re: Help! Mp5 sliding stock problem!
Just to finish this off, found that the locking spring is pointless on the ICS sliding stock so have taken it out. I can now retract the stock fine without it pulling off, as seems to have a better system within it than say the TM G3 stock I have. The spring in the TM stock broke first go, trying to slide the stock in.
