Micro Deans - up to the job?
1 May, 2011, 15:18
I now run all my AEGs off 7.4v lipos and everything is wired with standard Deans connectors. I am happy with this set up, but have just completed a new front wired M4 project that runs off a PEQ15 Lipo.
It works perfectly, but I find the Deans connectors a bit too large and intrusive so am looking for something even smaller. I've seen "Micro Deans" connectors online and the size looks good, but I'm not sure how they'll handle the voltage! Does anyone know if they're up to the task of running an AEG (they seem to get used in planes and helicopters a lot) or will I melt them?
