inneed of better ammo
26 May, 2011, 13:07
g3 hop up unit,
madbull rubber,
fishbone nub,
590 madbull TN barrel,
psg1 at 350fps on a 0.20
my barrel keeps on jamming, right where the rubber sits, i use the cleaner and push it past the rubber, it still jams up,
upon looking down the barrel i can see the bb is jammed in the barrel,
the bb is not round at all,
iv tried using classic army 0.20 (jam up + reaches for the skys with hop min)
iv tried using zero1 .20 (jam up + reaches for the skys with hop min)
iv tried using zero1 .25 (jam up + reaches for the skys with hop 1 click on hop)
it jams up say 1 shot out of 300, not to bad but really inconvieant, seeing i have to go back to the safe zone, strip it and poke the bb out the end
so im after the best .30 ammo you can get (price no object)

Re: inneed of better ammo
I'd question whether all is right with that gun, you shouldn't get a jam that frequently, it's not as if you are using really shoddy bb's there
it's seems you are trying to resolve the problem by not fixing it....

Re: inneed of better ammo
What madbull bucking? If it's one of those shark ones with the 3 fins that's probably causing the problem.
Either way it sounds more like a hop issue rather than an ammo issue to me.

...with hop off, your gun, with 0.20's and 0.25's, at the least, should not be over-hopping.

Re: inneed of better ammo
Zero One's BB's are quite large in comparison to other brands, using them in a normal off the shelf gun can give the effect of a tight bore barrel.
If your barrel is straight then I would advise that you try some excell BB's, they are some of the smallest on the market, if you have problems with them, then you have major problems

Re: inneed of better ammo
had a mate pop round to have a look,
the barrel is not bent, part of the barrel had a slight bur on it, on the bridge bit,
little drill to smooth off and the quick wiz with a 6mm drill bit, see it firing perfectly
god damn i hate airsoft
edit, and yes thats a brake pad, out my mums car, which just had a brake service at quick fit, ill do it my self, seeing as we allready paid for you to do it lol
