Spring for a AA R85A1 and a wee question about lubing up :)
29 January, 2009, 12:16
Hi fellahs,
Due to a wee problem with the gearbox release catch (now fixed - clever me) have had a bit of fps reduction on my r85a1 - now 270-275 fps - a wee bit too week
Looking to upgrade the spring for it. Reckon by what i've read its a m100 -m105 spring I am after.
Checked out 'another airsoft shop' doing Element springs
And yet another based in Scotland doing nonamers.
And also Zero One who have a plethora of springs.
Any recommendations then?
Question 2 - lubing
As I'm gonna give it a tune up when replacing the spring - what lubes do you recommend for
Gearbox
Spring
Compression chamber
Seals
I have a variety of lubes from my air rifle tuning so should be able to match up what i need.
Cheers for your help

Cheers for your feedback mate - budget wont stretch to full upgrade at the moment
Seen basic tune up kits on zero one - maybe stretch to the 30 odd quid for that if need be.
However the gun, performs really well, and seems solid bar the weak spring.
