inserting a m16 length barrel in an m4

if i add a m16 length barrel in an m4 will i have to change the cylinder ?
if so how ?

Yes. You'll need an unported cylinder.
Just to add, a longer barrel will give you no discernable performance boost. In real steel maybe, but in airsoft no.

well im just thinking of getting a better hop/rubber and thought why not get a longer barrel

just get a tighter barrel, 6.03mm
length does nothing for range or accuracy.
