G&G GR16 BlowBack Model Retarded Feeding Problem
16 June, 2011, 17:40
My M4/M16 has a weird problem, It will only feed the first 1/6 of a Magazine before not feeding all together. I haven't had that much experience with airsoft and I am a real novice when it comes to fixing guns. I Will Upload some Pictures soon if required. Any and All Help is appreciated. I think its something with the piston as its a Electric Blow back model using a piston to produce the blow back.

Have you tried winding the mag completely????
As a partially wound mag will release about 20/40 bbs

Also depends on the ammo
due to having a tightbore barrel installed from the factory it can be picky in certain brands of ammo. they hate zeroone bbs, and also they hate, king arms bbs
loves excel and bbking also blaster devils

Try different mags first, then bb's, it's a case of testing the cheapest/easiest solution then working your way up until you solve it.

How easy is it to stick the mag into the gun? Does it need a good hard push/slap? is it fiddly? Could be the lining of the hop up unit feed tube, with the feed tube on the mag

Like above, id try some other mags rather than the gun!!
ask if you can borrow a friends/someone on a site mag.
liek above it could be also the BB.. try blasters, there pretty easy to come by and quite good BB's

They are fully wound mags, the mags are functioning fine they work in my old M4 Stubby and I have no feeding problems there.

The ammo is Excel anyway and I also use the highly polished blue bbs that where on sale online a while back.

It does feel a bit weird when putting a mag into the gun, I will check the feeding tube and compare it to an online picture or something, thanks.
