  • ROF issue confused...

Hi gents i have a old ics m4 with the standard ics turbo 3000 motor in it im a bit puzzled as to why im getting the same rof on a 9.6 battery to a 12v?? (getting 14rps on a 9.6 and 15rps on a 12v) gun as a whole runs fine nothing getting hot or sounding bad in anyway was just wondering if someone smarter than me had any idea's to why this is? maybe the motor's on its way out?
    cheers in advance.

on the higher battery, is it miss firing, like only shooting 1 to 2 cycles of the gearbox ?

Don't take my word for it but could it be the anti reversal latch slipping?

the motor may only be drawing 10v from the battery as it will only take what it needs try a higher mah

This^ motors only draw what they need voltage wise.

Better still ditch the motor, use some decent 16awg wire, deans or XT60 connectors.

Even better ditch the ics....I dont like them for high speed with the split gear box.

No, they only draw what they need current wise, i.e. Amps... the potential difference across the motor will be the same as the battery's voltage.

What make/size are the batteries? A good, lower voltage battery will give a better rate of fire than a rubbish higher voltage one; similarly, a small higher voltage pack may be unable to cope with the motor's demands.
