Re: V2 gearbox case
An American bloke produces an aluminium block that sits between the front of the GB and around the hop unit to absorb the shock of the piston hitting the front of the GB. There's a great video of him firing rounds at 550fps with it - fine. Without it the front shears off.
Video is on youtube

My longest last V2 box is a CA. 6 Years and about to be mounted in a new home

Told you you were the slayer....
Im sure that will polish out....erm.
I had a JG one firing over 60 a sec...that was ok...lol.
I really don't see the point of radiusing the back of the box. Have you seen many break there??? I don't radius the fronts....lol.

Re: V2 gearbox case
epoxy in your spring guide and epoxy in your cylinder head I have no idea how your going to get the dam gearbox together mind lol
I had a JG gearbox with an m150 in it the gearbox snapped at the front but the gun was still getting 280 to 300fps lol I was very very tempted to leave it lol
Sorbo or if your rof is low use an airbrake
or you could look for a billet cnc`d gearbox ally or steel its up to you lol
sigpic
Oh when will I get a decent knights stoner LMG aeg ?
P mags up for sale
