  • Very hot wires?

Recently acquired a marui M4 and i have just put around 60 rounds through it and the wires connecting the battery were very hot. Is this because there is not a fuse installed? Or because the battery is faulty?

    Any help would be great

Could be resistance in the gearbox, if you mean warm then that's normal, hot is different and could be resistance in the gearbox, bad shinming can cause this, or maybe the motor is on its way out/ drawing more current than the battery can provide

Check you haven't connected the battery the wrong way round because that happend to someone next to me at one game and the wires just melted and started to smoke.

Check for a slight short circuit somewhere, especially within the gearbox, around the trigger/motor area. Otherwise it's down to terrible shimming or motor height.

As above OR your battery is to small and is over discharging.
