  • G&P M4 Front End Disassembly

Right, I'm trying to seperate the upper reciever from the the main outer barrel assembly. I am fairly technicaly minded and have re-built a few gearboxes but can't for the life of me work out how it comes off. I can see the Delta ring which sits over a cog like 'nut'. Does this nut unscrew? and do I need to take the delta ring off first?
    thanks in advance...

You will need an armourers tool to unscrew this cog like nut. You risk damaging it otherwise. Some people have used ragged up wrenches and big pliers and stuff though.
Once this is unscrewed, the outer barrel will pop off!

hi yes the delta ring( AKA barrel nut ) does unscrew , but make sure first the fake gas tube is removed first

if its a new gun they can be a royal pain in the A.... to remove ( looking down the barrel towards the body it turns CCW )

use a flat head and a hammer and just tap the teeth lil by lil

dont do it too hard or you will start knocking the teeth off

Done it now used an adjustable spanner without a rag, in the end. Took a hell of a lot of force to undo
