Sa80 single shot
13 August, 2011, 10:41
Is there any remedy to fix the crappy single shot on the ics sa80? I know for a fact it isn't a switching problem. Something to do with the gearing? New to this but wouldn't mind knowing and hopefully fix it.

Right gents it's changed. Any idea on the cause then? Just bought one and don't want to have to buy an extra gun just for indoors. Think it's an ics sa80 v2

It works for about 5 shots then the gears seem to lose sync and the bb just falls out the barrel. I have to them switch to auto to clear the problem? I've send a few with this problem but nobody knows.

Re: Sa80 single shot
I've been using an ICS L85A2 for over three years and have never had this problem. Neither have the two other people I know who have one.
At a guess I'd say it was a problem with the cutoff lever sticking.

Re: Sa80 single shot
I was under the impression that most SA80 styled weapons suffered from the lock up on semi, its a known problem. Most people quickly flick on auto, squeeze off a few rounds and then drop it back to semi.

Re: Sa80 single shot
I have had my ics sa80 since they where released, and haven't suffered from any semi auto or double feeding issues at all.

Nice. At least it doesn't seem to be a design fault. My mates seems to do it and we had it stripped. Can't find anything wrong with the switching.

That's what I have dan. Don't want to keep flicking to auto though. I also heard it was a design fault but it seems lots of people on here dont suffer at all.
