styer on a 9.6

Anyone cut open a rear styer battery compatment for a 9.6 or is it a big no?

It's fine, what you do is cut off the lower quarter and you have room for a cuboid battery, the AUG I'm selling atm has a 9.6v 2000 mah batter in it. Just need to keep enough of the plate to hold the gearbox securely in place aka the bit where the screws are.

A Custom 2/3a 8 Cell Pack will fit without any modification, the battery packs i used to have for my SG552 fitted perfectly in my AUG, it even fitted the wrong way around, so if you wanted to stick another cell on there youd be able to have 10.8v.
