Safe to use mini-deans with a 7.4 lipo?
24 August, 2011, 11:08
Is this safe, or will the battery deliver more current than mini-deans is rated for?
I'd like to replace my mini-tamiyas as they get loose, but there's very little space inside my RIS where the battery goes, and I'm not sure a full-sized deans would fit.
If mini-deans isn't a goer - are there any alternatives?

If anything, Deans are smaller than mini-tamiya... marginally wider, but significantly shorter.

I have mini-Deans on my 11.1v lipos - haven't had problems in a year. (Fingers crossed)

As above.
11.1v + mini deans = no problems.

It's the wider that worries me. But perhaps I'll double check the dimensions to be sure, as I'm just going on memory.
