Inner barrel diameter on a stock Ares M4A1?

I'd like to know what the bore is on my stock Ares m4a1. I've tried measuring it with a micrometer but I think the inside is too small for the micrometer to fit in properly -- it reads 5.83mm which can't possibly be right

I've had a google but can't find anything out about it. Does anyone know? Or is there a trick to measuring it properly?

I think they are 6.08

Thanks - Ares specifically or are most stock AEGs 6.08?

Alledgedly Ares fit a tightbore as standard, but I have one and can't find any proof on the internet. Hence going to get a new barrel!

Hmm. I wonder if I can figure out some way to measure it then. Perhaps lube the end and stick some blu-tac in, and then measure that with a micrometer?

Judging by my m60 accuracy its definitely not a tightbore , probably 6.05-6.08.
