  • Blown fuse in an AGM MP40 - advice needed

I bought a used MP40 on this forum, and used it at a skirmish. Worked fine intially, then stopped firing after a while. I assumed the old and tired battery, perhaps not fully charged, had died.

Recharged battery, but gun still does not work at all.

Checked the fuse and found that it had blown.

First question; I would like to replace the fuse, but the blown one is unmarked. What fuse should I use?

If replacement fuse makes gun work, then I suppose problem solved? Am I right?

(If it blows again, after working first, I would think that that is a new question for the forum)

Not sure that I want to simply bypass the fuse and see if the gun works without replacing it first, but comments on this option also welcomed.

Simply bypass the fuse to try the gun. If anything untoward happens then unplug the battery.

Try a 16 amp fuse from Maplins as a replacement.

The fuse in mine says 25A.

chances are the fuse blew for a reason. The AGM MP40 has quite a bad motor as standard and this could have caused the fuse to blow. If the motor is knackered then get a AK sized replacement which will fit straight in.
