jet nozzle o-ring help please.
25 September, 2011, 09:04
im looking to make my aeg abit more efficient. im looking at purchasing one of these double oring jet nozzles to make a better air seal rather than putting massive springs in all the time to bump upo the fps. im having particular trouble with my mp40. its got a s100 spring already, steel gears, tokyo marui hop unit, tight bore barrel, systema piston head and systema cylinder but i just cant seem to get it to go over about 314fps with a 20 no matter what i try, even put a m120 spring in it but then needed a massive battery to turn it over which the gun cant really accomodate! ther must be an efficiency problem with sealing the air pressure. where do these double orings fit on this new jet nozzle? its looks to me like they fit inside the jet nozzle where it runs up and down the cylinder head. pm me if you can enlighten me. cheers.

Re: jet nozzle o-ring help please.
Nozzles will come with the O rings. If it is a standard one you will not be able to fit them.
If you think about it, there is only one sensible place to have O rings on a nozzle that moves backwards and forwards.

Re: jet nozzle o-ring help please.
have you done any compression tests to see exactly where the air leak is?
it may be between the nozzle and hop up

Re: jet nozzle o-ring help please.
Good point it may even just be the piston O ring.

Re: jet nozzle o-ring help please.
its a brand new systema piston head with o-ring and brand new systema cylinder. the hop is only 3 weeks old, fitted by fire s at p'boro so they should be in good order. i dont know how to do a leak test. i pushed the piston in and out of the cylinder when i had it apart to check to see if there's any compression and there's tons! its losing air somewhere!
