Free float RIS screwing on too far
23 November, 2011, 12:53
I bought a G&P CQB RIS kit and when I screw it on to the upper reciever it turns almost a quarter turn too far. It came with wery thin washers on the outer barrel, do I need to add more of these? Thanks

Yup. More means you can rotate it less and less means that you can rotate it more. Simple as that really

Thanks for such a quick reply! There's one problem though, I can't get the outer barrel separated from the rails because the silencer won't come off the barrel :O

It's either seized on in which case Wd40 or it's got thread lock on which case use a hairdryer to heat it up (the silencer NOT the barrel as it will expand a fraction due to the heat).
