Re: ICS MP5 SD tracer unit?
You could always put a UV bulb and battery in the original ICS silencer. It would only cost a few quid from somewhere like maplins and there's loads of room in the silencer if you take the foam out.

You know what mate, that's a bloody good idea but the only obstacle is the fact the lights would be permanently on unless i had some sort of sensor?

Re: ICS MP5 SD tracer unit?
A couple of UV lights shouldn't draw too much current. Just stick some sort of switch on the outside of the silencer so you can turn it on and off. I've just looked at the silencer on mine (an ICS SD2) and there's plenty of space for the wires to come through a small hole to the side of the screw thread, through the space next to the outer barrel and then out through one of the handguard pin holes (which, let's be honest, are going to fall off some day anyway). You could even mod a torch pressure switch with very little effort.
EDIT: Thinking about it, if you are happy playing with the wiring, you could have it run from the main battery and activated by taking a feed from the trigger wires.

Re: ICS MP5 SD tracer unit?
If there is room just run it from a stand alone circuit, a square 9v battery would probably do the trick. Much less complications involved! A switch is good, but a pressure pad would be an excellent idea. That way you can choose between tracer and not at any time. You won't always want a long line of green pointing to your position :D

Re: ICS MP5 SD tracer unit?
Guys this is brill stuff, loving the thought about wiring it to complete a circuit so that it will only activate when its fired, genius! Also loving the idea about the pressure switch too! Problem is the damn ACM/new MArui one still doesnt fit in the standard ICS silencer so one will need to be made i reckon! Watch this space!
