oddly firing ak!

Evening all,
I think i know the answer to this but i thought i would get some views on it.
Symptoms:
I've got a project gun on the go. basically a LCT akm thats getting completely new internals. I've rebuilt it to a stage where i can crack it over.
Now the issue is as follows in this order:
safe = working
full auto = working
semi = working once, then wont fire any more on any following trigger pull
back to auto = not working
back to safe = working.
then it will repeat in that order.
my thoughts are its obviously a fire selector issue! either the selector plate. but more probably the cut off lever. but i can understand why its failing. any one had any experience of this in the past?
Cheers,
Panoptes

Re: oddly firing ak!
It's possible that your selector mesh gears have slipped or are missing a tooth or two. Open her up and check it out.
