Need help - Single shot and motor overwiding issues?
21 January, 2012, 18:15
Hi all,
Just building a high speed setup using short stroked 13:1 gear set with sector delay clip on it and currently using a 7.4v lipo with G&P High speed m120 motor.
Just put it all together, shimmed very nicely and I ended up correcting the angle of engagement with a Laylax VSR dampner pad on the cylinder head.
Problem is single shot is non functional at times but may work after a couple of pulls on the trigger.
Full auto works fine but the motor sounds like it is over winding when it is released, not sure if it is over winding but its something moving in there near the motor area atleast.
I have put a mosfet inside it but it simply lowers the voltage from 7 or 11v to 1v going into the trigger contacts.
Any help would be hugely appreciated
Thanks

Is it an " active break" mosfet? If not that is what you need to stop the motor over spinning.

Ar latch spring is missing broken letting the guns piston return to home postion , guess on the no semi is your new gear is is not making contact with the cutoff lever

Springs not missing but possibly snapped but it was brand new but you sound right, il take it apart and inspect
Il try a new cutoff lever and spring on the selector issue too.
Many thanks johnnyj will give feedback on the repairs later tonight

Sorry, thought you ment it wad overrunnin. Two parts that affect smi are the cut off lever ( this disconnects when the lever hits the cut off cam on the gear) and the selector plate. Could the gear spinlr area be too thick causing the cut off to never disengage? Could the selector plate be fulty not engaging semi? Could the trigger unit be faulty not picking up that smi has been selected?
