Removing a "bitch" pin from an M4 trigger guard?
16 February, 2009, 14:38
Hi,
I have a new Knights Trigger Guard for my M4, and I'm struggling with how to remove the bitch pin from the one on the M4 currently, as the usual tools for the job wont fit around the body of the M4.
How do any of you remove the pin without damaging the rifle's body, AND how to you get the new one in?
Thanks for any help,
Alex (mj23lj)

isit the front pin (the one by the trigger guard?)
if not, use a punch or small screw driver and a hammer

You'll need a small pin punch or improvise with an apropriate nail.
I assume you're talking about the split pin, not the spring pin.
/9 out.

That nail sounds like a great idea as I don't have any punches that size.
I thought a "bitch" pin was a spring pin? I'm talking about; There are 2 pins holding in the trigger guard, one just pops out because it's sprung, and the other is an actual pin made of sprung metal that you need to push all the way through.
Thanks so far guys, any other suggestions would be still be considered as I don't get home until Friday.

try both sides too, one end will be knurled to lock it in place, pushing this all the way through will be difficult, from the other side though should be much easier.
use of a punch is preferable. if not the nail idea will suffice

What if I cut the nail point off, would that be better or worse? Seems logical to me that it would be better?
