Ics m4a1
27 January, 2012, 19:00
Alright guys here we go.
Bought an Ics m4a1 carbine second hand. Fired a few shots and then it stopped working.
Stripped it down and found the crappy switch had burnt out. Replaced that. Put it back together now it fires fine. Apart from:-
Bbs no longer feed. As far as i can see, the gap that appears when the piston moves back isn't big enough for a bb to fit. Could i be right and if so how do i resolve the problem?

Does the nozzle actually move?

Re: Ics m4a1
Could be the tappet plate that is worn. That would certainly prevent the nozzle coming back fully. Only way to tell really is to take the gear box apart to check it.

Is the tappet plate inside the gearbox? Thought it was that plastic thing on the piston. Ill have to check. How much is one of those?

Re: Ics m4a1
Did you ever resolve this?
I have an issue with not feeding/firing. The gun seems to be cycling fine, just refuses to fire the bb's.

Re: Ics m4a1
If you don't know what the tappet plate is then you probably destroyed it when you put the two halves of the gearbox back together when you closed the gun.
