Pull Trigger - No shot.
25 October, 2009, 12:40
I have a Star SCAR-L and I have a wee problem.
When I pull the trigger it does not fire, I hear a click but no joy.
The batteries are charged and fine and everything appears to be working.
I dont particularly want to open the gear box as its a fiendishly complicated procedure on a SCAR.
Anyone have any ideas or past experiences that could help?
Cheers,
Olly

If your mechbox has a "viewing hole" have a look where the piston is. Might be jammed back?

Re: Pull Trigger - No shot.
The clicking noise suggests power is getting to the motor. If the clicking comes from the grip, then that's correct and your fuse, contacts and electrical parts are fine. But your gearbox is jammed in some way.
Remove the motor but have it still plugged in. Check that it spins when you pull the trigger (with a battery plugged in too).
If so, your gearbox is jammed up.

Re: Pull Trigger - No shot.
unless it's one with those stupid triggers that you can't get to but still make a click even if they are broken, a mate had this type of trigger in an ares/star G36C i couldn't fix it for that reason, although i was probably being stupid and there was away of opening it XD :D
