KJW P229 Mag Leak
20 February, 2009, 15:17
Just got a KJW P229, problem is the mag leaks (using abyy ultra gas) im pretty sure its not comming from where you put the gas in. It sounds like it comming from sortov around the base of the mag (when you take the mag apart it where the top half sits on the bottom half). Sorry its not very well described. Any help on how to stop it would be great.
Cheers
Ed

Re: KJW P229 Mag Leak
Had this exact same problem!
What you need to do is first
let all the gas out
!
Take the base off, if I remember correctly you unscrew the value, and push out the two pins in the side of the mag.
You'll need some Silicone Pro seal. (

)
Where the existing seals are, pop some over the top, let it set for about 10 mins, then put it all back together.

Re: KJW P229 Mag Leak
Just to confirm it is the seal there. Gas it up, and then listen for the leak. It should stop when you push the base.
Best of luck
