WE scar open bolt conversion kit mystery part .

So I just converted my gen 1 scar to open bolt took me a while but well worth it . kicks like a mule and even louder . the problem I have is ,although it works flawlessly, in a typical man flat pack style there is a part left over ? I have no idea what its for ? Said item is a square black plastic block around 8mm thick and 11mm square with a whole in the middle the whole has raised edges . What is it for ?
I googled it but with no prevail. any help will be of much benefit. as I don't want this thing exploding on me now !!! Thanks guys
