Hi-Capa Gas Leak - Around Hammer
20 September, 2012, 13:43
Picked up a new hi-capa today and ran into a problem.
Gas seems to pour out the rear of the gun around the hammer, leaving a lot of liquid.
I've tested it with another mag and it ran perfectly fine so I'll assume it's the mag.
Any ideas? The seals the most likely candidate?

Ok so I tested the dodgy mag again and it resulted in the same problem, came back in and posted this. Went out and tested the mag again to be sure and now it's working fine with no gas escaping around the hammer.

Actually, let me check that.
It's "Green Power Gas"

Just an update, ran another few mags worth through it and it's working fine now. Dirt in the seal, something misaligned or whatnot.

Re: Hi-Capa Gas Leak - Around Hammer
Probably been stored either with a dry gas for a while or no gas, it was more than likely the flow valve sticking slightly causing excess gas to leak.
