will removing TM 1911 Grip weights help with efficiency?
28 November, 2012, 22:47
hello guys
i just removed my tm 1911 grip weights because 2 slabs of metal come in contact with the mag...making it harder for the mag to warm up?
so im think if i removed them it will help with efficiency..but then again it feel really nice with the weights
so my question is, is it worth it?
cheers

Re: will removing TM 1911 Grip weights help with efficiency?
I'd imagine that the weights would help to start with as when the mags cool down they'd draw heat from the weights, but subsequent mags would suffer as they'd of been pulled below ambient temperature by the first mag.
If you want to make them notably more efficient, I'd imagine a bit of wool insulation in their place would help, and I wouldn't say no to a set of TM grip weights if you happened to want to part with them!

yeah that makes sense,
bit of wool in there might be a bit awkward, or maybe i can put wool in and tape over it?
but yeah, the weights are in the tool box now...how much u want them for?
